Foreign nationals entering Russia for performing work activities are required to stay in quarantine for a period of 14 calendar days from the day of arrival in the RF. This requirement is established by item 6.1 of Decision №9 of the Chief State Medical Officer of the RF dated 30.03.2020.
Quarantine is not necessary for citizens entering Russia for a short-term visit of no more than 3 days to fulfill obligations under international treaties, as well as to conduct negotiations or to do business. (Letter of Rospotrebnadzor “On passing PCR tests and conducting observations of foreign citizens” dated 26.06.2021 №02/12731-2021-23).

There is a special procedure for a certain sector of foreign specialists provided, which can shorten the quarantine. This applies only to specialists coming to Russia to perform installation, commissioning and maintenance of equipment, including work in the construction industry.
